Hello world!

Welcome to my new blog – a semi-daily journal of my life in Washington DC.

I moved to DC in September 2008 after having lived in Bozeman MT (see my old blog) for 6 years. In DC, I work for the feds; in MT, I was an engineering professor. DC is quite a change from Montana, but I’m enjoying living in the city.

  1. Well, it’s about freakin’ time, dude!

Glad you’re up and running – I look forward to reading about life & times in DC!

  2. “Big Sky in Exile!” Good to see you again, Mike.

  3. Hi Trish and David –
It took a couple of months for me to get my apartment set up, and I didn’t want to blog until then..

  4. hmm, you’re an interesting person. weird how i stumbled upon your blog. i was googling kelly morgan and you had referenced him in your blog, so here i am. in Bozeman.

i wish i could get rid of all my “stuff” and move away as you did. that would be freeing, indeed. i have a couple of barriers, though – the main one is emotional, i admit.

? did you cease being a vegetarian? just curious. i am one. i had veggie pot pie for thanksgiving. probably have tofurkey for xmas.

well, good luck in DC mr. interesting big mike!

Yes – it’s hard let go and not let your possessions own you
